Swing Dance

  • Classic Swing
  • Also known as Single Time Swing is the easiest of all of the swing dances to learn. Classic Swing songs include: Elvis' "Don't Be Cruel" and the Andrew Sister's "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy"
  • East Coast
  • East Coast Swing has a quick tempo that gets you moving across the floor. Classic East Coast Swing songs include:  Tin Cup’s “Little Bit is Better than Nada,” The Archies' "Sugar Sugar", and Fats Domino’s, “Kansas City.”
  • Four Step
  • Four Step is high energy with driving beats. Classic Four Step songs include: The Afters'
"All Good Things", Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing In The Dark", and Carrie Underwood's "Good Girl".
  • West Coast
  • West Coast Swing is considered the most versatile, yet challenging of the Swing dances.  But don't let that scare you!  WCS is very smooth, linear, and flirtatious and can be danced to just about any style of music.  Classic WCS songs include:   Alannah Myles’s “Black Velvet,” The Commitments’ “Mustang Sally” and Carrie Underwood’s “Cowboy Casanova.”
